Touchpad isn't working.

Description:

Check with the System Maker's Support, their on-line documentaton and drivers, and ask in their forum
(if any) as many will have Hotkeys that will Enable/Disable the Touchpad.

Settings for TouchPad are in Control Panel - Mouse (there might be several tabs with TouchPad entries)
and some have a utility that loads in Notification Area near clock on lower right.

Solution:

Synaptic. Try looking for the synaptic configuration.

Synaptic is the touchpad driver on most laptop.

Control Panel > Mouse > Device Settings > Choose your touchpad device > Settings > Tapping

You might have accidentally disabled or uninstalled synaptic, enable or reinstall synaptic if this is the case.

If the issue is still not fixed, it can be a very critical problem with your computer affecting your personal data and the Windows Operating System. You will have to chat with our Experts or you can check with your local technician to get the problems fixed with very high priority.
