Windows Explorer Pop-up "Compressed (zipped) Folders message.

Solution:
Start Windows Explorer and select the folder or range of files you wish to compress. Right-Click on the selection to pop-up the menu and click on theSend To menu option. Choose Compressed (zipped) Folder.
At this point you may be presented with a message box stating;
  • For Compressed (zipped) Folders to handle ZIP files correctly, the application associates with them must be Compress (zipped) Folders. Currently this is not the case. Do you want to designate Compressed (zipped) Folders as the application for handling ZIP files?
This message may pop-up if you have another archiving program running in the background.
Simply answer, Yes, and the files will be zipped. You should now see that a file with a .ZIP extension has been created.
The zipped files name will be that of the folder you selected or if you selected a range of files the name of the first file in that selection. In either case the file will have the .ZIP extension.
