Change default keyboard at Windows logon

What happened?

One of our interns installed a server from scratch, and set the default keyboard lay-out on Belgian Period. Which is not our standard, so I removed it and put US International there. All good and well, until you try to log on to the server again:

What now?

Well, there’s a clever little registry adjustment that you need to make to set the default log on keyboard:

1. Start regedit.exe
undefined
2. Move to: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Preload
3. Double click on 1 and change the number to your local layout

If the issue is still not fixed, it can be a very critical problem with your computer affecting your personal data and the Windows Operating System. You will have to chat with our Experts or you can check with your local technician to get the problems fixed with very high priority.
