In Windows 8 a new Store app is available that allows developers to publish their Metro style applications on Windows 8 devices. The store will only provide links to such applications on their websites.
You can disable or enable the Windows 8 Store easily. When it is disabled it can no longer to be used. In this article we are going to learn how to disable the Windows Store in Windows 8. After disabling it, the Windows Store is not available on the PC.

Step 1: Press Windows + R key from the keyboard to enable the Run box.
Step 2: The Run box is opened. Type gpedit.msc and click the OK button.
Step 3: The Local Group Policy Editor is opened. Expand down the User Configuration.
To enable Windows 8 Store again select “Disabled” in the “Turn off the Store application” in Group Policy Editor.
